Julie-Ann Aguhob also known as “Joy and Joy-joy” to family and
relatives, was born and raised in the Philippines. She grew up with a
family that enjoyed harmonizing together in singing hymns and sacred
music. Having sung at churches throughout her life, she learned and
performs an extensive repertoire including: Cantatas, Oratorios, Sacred
Music, Hymns, Gospel Songs, and Christian Contemporary Music. Julie-Ann
also enjoys performing the works of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin,
Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein, and other
musical theatre classics.

Julie-Ann has enjoyed performing all her life. After several years living in
Boston, Massachusetts, she moved closer to her family and currently lives
and performs in the Lexington, Kentucky area.

While living in Boston, she received a Master of Music Performance from
Boston University; was a featured artist numerous times in the television
program “Asian Focus”; and released her debut CD “Simple Song” now
available at Amazon.com, CDBABY, iTunes, as well as Joseph-Beth
Booksellers in Lexington.

Since her arrival in summer 2008, Julie-Ann has: performed in “It’s a Grand
Night for Singing!” with University of Kentucky Opera; received critical
acclaim for her 2009 debut performance in the role of Mama Euralie in
“Once on this Island” with KCTC/Summerfest. She was recently seen
performing with Fantastical Theatricals, Main Street Playhouse, Actors
Guild of Lexington, and Bluegrass Mystery Theatre.

Julie-Ann also enjoys being a soloist for Fund Raisers or Special Events,
Worship Services and Weddings, and she regularly performs as a
Standardized Patient actress at University of Kentucky Health Care. When
not performing she serves as an independent licensed insurance agent of
Aflac and Substitute Teacher for various schools in Lexington. You’re
